Carolina Panthers star Eric Reid shared a photo on social media on Sunday of himself looking relaxed and fit. It comes after Reid apparently recently was tested for PED's for a third time in the same year.

“Two weeks into camp, two ‘random' PED tests,” Reid captioned the photo. “3 ‘randoms' this league year.” The 27-year-old former San Francisco 49ers secondary player also “shouted out” his trainers.

Reid joined the Panthers in 2018 when he signed a one-year deal with the club in September. The former first-round pick of the Niners was subject to a lawsuit filed against the NFL alleging collusion due to Reid's protesting activities along with quarterback Colin Kaepernick.

Reid used his high profile to shed light onto civil rights abuses in the country and would kneel during the playing of the United States National Anthem with Kaepernick and other teammates. The Panthers told the media last September was strictly a football decision and Reid subsequently did not “take a knee” in his Carolina debut.

Reid also was drug tested seven times with the Panthers last season. The LSU product claims the NFL has been excessively drug testing him purposefully to target the former protestor and outspoken professional football player.

After five seasons with the Bay Area franchise and one Pro Bowl selection—as a rookie—Reid joined the Panthers, appearing in 13 games for Carolina. Reid caught one interception, made 71 combined tackles, recorded three tackles for loss, and had one QB hit.

Reid has turned his career as a flashpoint for critical discussion in expectations for NFL players and inconspicuous management and targeting by the league.
