Carolina Panthers safety Eric Reid is one of the few players that is still playing in the league after kneeling and just because he got another contract doesn't mean he is changing his ways.

Reid was asked if he would continue to kneel and he said that he will because he hasn't seen the change that he thinks that he needs to happen. If it does get to the point where he thinks enough change has happened, he will stop not kneeling, but he isn't sure if that will happen.

“If a day comes that I feel like we’ve addressed those issues, and our people aren’t being discriminated against or being killed over traffic violations, then I’ll decide it’s time to stop protesting,” Reid said via Pro Football Talk. “I haven’t seen that happen. . . . We’ve got to keep fighting. Got to keep agitating. Got to keep making sure that we put pressure on the people who make the laws, and the decisions, in this country.”

Last season when the Panthers signed Reid there was no talk about him having to stand, and there hasn't been pushback from inside the organization to get Reid to stand.

Most importantly for the Panthers they need Reid to perform on the field and after a slow start to his time with the team he really picked up his play.

This season the hope is that Reid will be a crucial point of the defense no matter if he is kneeling or standing during the national anthem.
