Former Carolina Panthers running back and XFL legend Rod Smart has been reported missing, and South Carolina authorities are asking for assistance in locating in him. Smart, who's real name is Torrold, was last seen June 12 near Indian Land in Indian Land, near Charlotte.

“Family and deputies have concerns about his well-being and safety,” said Doug Barfield, spokesman for Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office via the Charlotte Observer.

Smart spent four seasons with the Panthers, but he is best known for his time in the XFL. During the one season, the league existed players wore their nickname instead of their last name on the back of the jersey, which led to smart having “He Hate Me” on his.

Lancaster police posted on their Facebook page the alert along with the caption, “The Sheriff's Office is asking for your assistance to locate a missing person. If you have any information regarding his whereabouts please contact the Sheriff's Office. 803-283-3388.”

They also said it's unusual for Smart to be out of contact with his family for this long which has given the family a lot of concern.

Smart was last seen driving a  silver 2016 Nissan Maxima with the license plate PJR_1759 and they haven't been able to locate the vehicle yet.
