Everyone in the football world is delighted with Cam Newton finally getting a deal with the New England Patriots, and it seems that nobody is happier than Cam's former offensive partner with the Carolina Panthers, Greg Olsen.

The newly acquired Seattle Seahawks tight end congratulated his old teammate via Twitter:

Greg Olsen mentioned that the “Patriots are getting a stud” with acquiring the quarterback, and based on Cam Newton's offseason form seen in all his workout and training videos, the 35-year old is definitely spitting facts.

The 2015 NFL MVP has been slowly getting back in top shape and looks like he's ready for his comeback season.

Olsen and Newton two made one hell of a tandem with the Panthers. They spent a ton of time in the field together being Carolina's main 1-2 punch in their offensive line for almost their entire stint with the franchise.

Both were also selected to be part of the 2016 Pro Bowl and eventually powered the Panthers to a Super Bowl berth against the Denver Broncos. Although their respective injuries prevented their tandem from reaching its full potential in Carolina, it's no question that they were one of the best duos in the league when healthy.

After a sub-par outing last season, both Olsen and Newton were released by the Panthers. Olsen was snagged by the Seahawks right away, signing a one-yea, $7 million contract.

Newton, however, spent a few more months in the free agency pool as doubts on his health delayed a potential signing until the Patriots finally agreed to acquire him on a incentive-laden, one-year deal.
