The NFL continues to navigate uncharted waters amid the outbreak of COVID-19. As a result, teams around the league have made efforts to assist in the pandemic while raising awareness on how to help avoid the spread of the coronavirus.
Unfortunately, there are still some parts of the country where people have yet to self-quarantine. Former Carolina Panthers defensive end Julis Peppers took to Twitter to speak his piece on the matter:

Peppers has never been one to make public announcements throughout his career. The fact that he decided to do it this time certainly speaks volumes on how pressing this matter is.
North Carolina recently issued a stay-at-home order for the next month in order to prevent the spread of the virus. However, Peppers' comments indicate that people in his state have not grasped the severity of the situation. It seems this has forced him to try and use his own influence to share some tough love for his followers on social media.
Peppers retired as one of the greatest pass-rushers in NFL history and left his mark with a number of all-time records, including sacks (4th, 159.5) forced fumbles (2nd, 51), and games played (6th, 266). He now serves as a special assistant of business operations for the Panthers and is being tasked with helping to lead this team out of its grueling rebuild.
Of course, Peppers' primary concern is getting back to business as usual without all the restrictions that have been placed this offseason. Fans in Carolina would be wise to heed his advice before it is too late.
