The Carolina Panthers may have lost their best offensive weapon in the passing game. Wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin suffered a knee injury against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday and didn't return to the game which isn't a good sign considering his injury history.

According to Panthers beat writer Max Henson, Benjamin was ruled out for the rest of Week 3's battle with the Saints.

Benjamin had only two catches for eight yards before heading to the Panthers' sideline with the knee injury. It remains to be seen whether the injury is serious.

Ultimately, the Panthers fell to their division rivals with Drew Brees and company making easy work of Cam Newton and company. Newton had his worst game in recent memory with the former NFL MVP throwing three interceptions and no touchdowns in the loss.

As for New Orleans, Brees led his Saints to the team's first win of the season throwing for 220 yards and three touchdowns. The Saints came out on top against the Panthers in convincing fashion, 34-13.

Carolina, however, falls to 2-1 on the season with a lot of concerns on the offensive side of the football. Rookie running back Christian McCaffrey had a breakout game helping fill the void left by Benjamin as the team's best receiver on Sunday with 101 yards on nine receptions.

In Week 4, the Panthers will attempt to get back on track as they head on the road after a two-game homestand to take on Tom Brady's New England Patriots at Gillette Stadium.
