The all-world linebacker speaks out.

Luke Kuechly, NFL All-Pro middle linebacker of the Carolina Panthers, has been on the comeback trail from a devastating shoulder injury. It means the world to the organization that he returns in full health and on Tuesday, the stud eased everybody's concerns by claiming his rehab is “right on schedule,” via Jourdan Rodrigue of the Charlotte Observer.

Kuechly, 27, is coming off another tremendous NFL season.

As a five-time Pro Bowler and four-time First-Team All-Pro member, Kuechly reached both of those heights and more in 15 games a season ago. Tallying 74 tackles, 1.5 sacks, four pass deflections, three interceptions, one forced fumble and three fumble recoveries, he's remained the heart and soul of the Cats defense for over half a decade.

Kuechly added to his troubling injury history by suffering a torn shoulder labrum during Week 17 last year. Despite the injury, he suited up in Carolina's lone tournament contest. Add his shoulder to his prior head injuries while playing, perhaps, the most violent and physical position in the sport (middle linebacker) and there's much cause for concern moving forward.

Nobody will ever doubt the kid's heart and toughness. Sometimes, though, too much physicality takes its eventual toll.

For now, things look good for Luke Kuechly and his road back to healthy football.
