During his media session on Thursday, Carolina Panthers quarterback Teddy Bridgewater wore a Miami Heat cap since he was born in Miami, Florida.

Even though the Heat are down 3-1 to the Los Angeles Lakers in the 2020 NBA Finals, Bridgewater isn't going to jump off the bandwagon.

Game 5 between the Lakers and Heat is set for Friday. Teddy Bridgewater, who is in his first season with the Panthers, will be watching the game closely and pulling for Jimmy Butler and Co. to make a grand comeback against LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

The Panthers are 2-2 on the young season. Bridgewater, who replaced former NFL MVP Cam Newton in Carolina as the team's passer, has thrown for 1,147 yards and four touchdowns through the Panthers' first four games of the season.

The team lost to the Las Vegas Raiders and Tampa Bay Buccaneers to open the campaign, but Carolina has since defeated the Los Angeles Chargers and Arizona Cardinals.

The Panthers will take on the Atlanta Falcons in Week 5. That's a game Bridgewater and Co. should win since the Falcons are 0-4 on the season.

NFL fans as a whole are happy to see Bridgewater playing on a full-time basis again. When he suffered that devastating knee injury with the Minnesota Vikings, there was some cause for concern that the former Louisville star would never play again.

However, the 27-year-old worked his tail off to get back and now he's a starting quarterback once again after backing up Drew Brees on the New Orleans Saints last season.
