The Carolina Panthers are still in the midst of a grueling rebuild heading into the 2020 NFL seasons. Regardless, quarterback Teddy Bridgewater still seems to be in win-now mode.

The Panthers still managed to make a splash in free agency by signing Bridgewater to stabilize things under center. According to ESPN's David Newton, he has brought his winning mentality with him:

“Man, I take pride in this,” Bridgewater said. “They told me I wouldn't play football again and I did. (Doctors) told me it would take 18 months to get back from my injury and I came back fast. They told me I wouldn't win last year and we won five games.

“I take pride in winning. Winning feels good, and that's our goal.”

Bridgewater has made it a point throughout his career to overcome the challenges that have been placed in front of him. It is safe to say that he has managed to do just that after bouncing back from a devastating leg injury to show off his skill set as a bonafide starter.

All the hard work Bridgewater put in ultimately came to fruition after he went 5-0 while replacing New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees. He now finds himself in familiar territory with Carolina as the contingency option for quarterback Cam Newton.

Fortunately, Bridgewater has good reason to be optimistic once again. The Panthers have secured plenty of firepower for his arsenal with the signing of former New York Jets wide receiver Robby Anderson. Anderson should be able to form quite the trio of weapons for him alongside running back Christian McCaffrey and wide receiver D.J. Moore.
