Carolina Panthers linebacker Thomas Davis, who blindside hit Green Bay Packers talent Davante Adams, took to Twitter to continue with his apology tour.

In fact, he tweet directly at Adams, who was on Twitter discussing the matter, to make his apology known.

From Adams on Twitter:

I’ll never understand it. Game is already dangerous enough and we got Pro Bowl players out here head hunting and saying they “didn’t mean to harm me”

Thomas Davis responded in kind:

I understand your frustration and I do apologize for the hit! In no way was I trying to hurt you. My first instinct was turn and make a block. In all sincerity I do apologize. I truly respect you as a player and I made a mistake!

Davante Adams, at least at the time of this writing, hasn't tweeted in 23 hours. There's been no response to the Davis tweet.

If you want the culture of football to make you feel a bit uneasy in the tummy, here is Washington Redskins linebacker Zach Brown going the less politically correct route in response to Adams' tweets:

My goodness.

Anyway, Davis seems apologetic. That is great. However, it would have been even more awesome if he didn't blindside the Green Bay talent.
