Carolina Panthers wide receiver Devin Funchess has seen a drop in playing time the last few weeks but he isn't getting frustrated with the change of playing time. During the first ten games of the season, Funchess was playing 71 percent of the team's offensive stats, but since he missed Week 12 with an injury he has seen a substantial decrease.  Over the last two games, he has only played 61 snaps hauling in only one catch during the stretch. DJ Moore, Curtis Samuel, and Jarius Wright have gotten more playing time but Funchess isn't too concerned about it.

“Nothing is frustrating,” Funchess said, via Joe Person of The Athletic. “I’ve gotta be smart with my back and make sure everything’s good. And when I’m out there, try to make sure my guys can make a play, as you saw. I’m trying to spring DJ. I’m trying to spring [running back Christian McCaffrey]. I’m trying to spring everybody. Just make sure my body is healthy and try to do what I can for the W.”

It's a bit surprising the freefall Funchess has been in this season. At one point it looked like Funchess was going to be a number one receiver for the Panthers but times have changed and there is a good chance that he will move on to a different team this offseason.

The Panthers have three games left to try and climb back into the playoffs, and it will be a storyline to watch to see if Funchess starts to get more playing time.
