Patrick Beverley has been fined $25,000 for his incident with a Thunder fan following the Rockets' 115-113 loss in Game 3 in Oklahoma City Friday.

The incident occurred just after the game ended. Beverley had fouled out late in the fourth quarter.

The fan was later identified as the son of one of the Thunder's minority owners.

The fan was identified as Stuart Scaramucci, son of Oklahoma City Thunder minority owner Jay Scaramucci. Beverley got up and immediately started to complain about Scaramucci.

He pointed at Scaramucci as referee Scott Foster and several Rockets went to help him up. After the game, Beverley approached Scaramucci, who was sitting behind the basket, and they got into a heated discussion.

The incident was reviewed after by the league using television and arena footage.

There was some initial worry from Rockets fans that Beverley could be suspended for the incident, since any altercations between players and fans has become an increasingly important thing to control.

Beverley may not appreciate the fine but it's better than being out for a game as he can continue with his crucial role of slowing down and pestering Russell Westbrook for 94 feet.
