Everyone waited over two years to see Kansas big man Joel Embiid finally take the NBA floor for the Philadelphia 76ers.

Throughout his first few games, he has shown the potential to be a great player. Averaging 17 points and nearly three blocks per game on 45 percent shooting and 40 percent from deep.

Yeah, that's right. Another seven footer who can shoot from downtown.

Granted that Embiid is undoubtedly packed with ceiling, it no longer comes as a surprise to hear what New York Knicks‘ legend Patrick Ewing had to say about him.

Via Tom Haberstroh of ESPN, Ewing spoke about Embiid's capabilities:

“Woah. This guy [Embiid] ? He might be the most talented center in the game.”

It may be too soon to make any further praise about Embiid because of the small sample size, so we'll have to wait and see whether or not the Cameroonian center can live up to the expectations set for him by the former number one overall pick and Hall of famer.

That being said, the 76ers will need all the boost they can get to help them become relevant once again. Is there any chance that Joel Embiid could be “The Answer” to their problems?
