Patrick Patterson may now be part of a different team, but he will never forget the experience he had playing for the Toronto Raptors. He wanted the fans and supporters of the team, as well as the whole city of Toronto, to know that he is thankful for the opportunity to represent them, and that he will forever cherish the good memories he has there.

Patterson did just that by taking to his Instagram account recently and posted a heartfelt message to the people of Toronto. He then added that he hopes to continue having a good relationship with all the people he met during his stint with the Raptors, and he wishes them all the best.

The 6-foot-9 power forward agreed to a three-year, $16.4 million deal with the Oklahoma City Thunder this summer. He will be playing a crucial role for his new team, which will be led by Russell Westbrook and Paul George. With Taj Gibson deciding to take his talents to the Minnesota Timberwolves, Patterson is expected to receive a lot of playing time and could even be their undisputed starter at the four spot.

He is fresh off another solid campaign where he appeared in 65 regular season and 10 playoff games for the Raptors. Patterson averaged decent numbers of 6.8 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 24.6 minutes off the bench. His addition to the Thunder will give them a serviceable big man who has the ability to stretch the floor, allowing Westbrook and George to have more room to operate inside the paint. It will also be a chance for him to prove that he can take on a bigger role, and see more court action, which is something he has not received throughout his professional career so far.
