The New England Patriots are not used to losing, so the manner how their 2017 season concluded certainly felt like a gut punch for them. The Holy Trinity of the franchise, namely head coach Bill Belichick, quarterback Tom Brady, and owner Robert Kraft reportedly even had a meeting to discuss the disappointing season that was, shortly after the Patriots lost to Nick Foles and the Philadelphia Eagles in the last Super Bowl.

The said meeting did take place as reported by a number of media outlets, though, some people refuse to believe that it actually occurred. For what it’s worth, Adam Schefter of ESPN, during a recent appearance on The Kirk & Callahan Show, shared further details on the nature of the assembly of three of the Patriots’ cornerstones, saying that they touched on the subject of limiting Brady’s pass attempts and probably even talked about Brady’s trainer, Alex Guerrero (h/t Ryan Hannable of WEEI Radio Network).

“Kraft, Belichick, Brady just sat down to see how they could move forward in the future and do things the best way,” Schefter said.

“Everybody sat down after the year and they talked for hours,” Schefter continued. “They tried to figure out what works. They talked about Tom’s number of throws being reduced, maybe that was part of the conversation. Maybe Alex Guerrero was part of the conversation.”

The Patriots fell just a win short last season of winning their sixth Super Bowl title in the Belichick-Brady era, but with both men coming back for at least one more tour of duty in the NFL, Kraft can expect New England to make another Super Bowl title run.
