The New England Patriots were blindsided when Tom Brady decided to leave the only team he’s ever known for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. They are understandably beyond livid at Brady for his betrayal, and Katie Nolan is one of the fans who are beyond herself after she fired barbs at her (former) idol.

Host of ESPN’s Always Late, Nolan went on an NSFW tirade over her disappointment at Brady’s decision. She was livid at the fact that the Patriots’ talisman decided to up and leave the Pats.

“Today was the first day in my life I ever said the phrase … ‘Eff Tom Brady.’ I said it out loud,” [Nolan] said, via Mollie Walker in the New York Post. “I was listening to the press conference, the conference call, and I said, ‘F–k you.’ And then I was like, ‘Oh my God, that’s Tom Brady.’”

ESPN’s Mina Kimes pointed out that Brady’s decision is purely from a football standpoint. The Buccaneers have exciting weapons at wide receiver that Brady can use. Dan Le Batard, another panelist of the show, tried to defuse the situation by point out facts on Brady’s successful stint with the Patriots.

“He gave discount after discount to that team and I understand why he would feel underappreciated,” Le Batard said of Brady. “I don’t think it’s ego, as much as, the dude was just hurt at the end that the people he should’ve had the most value for, he didn’t have the kind of value that he had in some place like Tampa. That’s human to be hurt by that, no matter how superhuman you think he is, it is very human to find that a vulnerable position to be in.”

Brady is a future Hall of Famer who won six Super Bowl rings with the Patriots. He’s notched 74,571 passing yards, 541 touchdowns, 14 Pro Bowl appearances, and three Firsf-team All-Pro mentions in a successful career. Only time can tell if his stint with the Buccaneers will also produce levels of success similar to his stint with the Pats.
