Despite another controversy boiling over, New England Patriots wide receiver Antonio Brown made his debut for the reigning Super Bowl champions on Sunday, recording a touchdown reception via quarterback Tom Brady and becoming the first and only player to do so from Brady and AFC rivals Pittsburgh Steelers' Ben Roethlisberger.

Brown was traded by the Steelers in the offseason to the Oakland Raiders for third- and fifth-round picks. However, multiple controversies for the All-Pro wideout led to mounting fines and general manager Mike Mayock and the Raiders voiding Brown's contract, leading to his release at the beginning of September.

The Patriots then swooped in and signed the 31-year-old to a one-year contract, and he made his debut on Sunday in New England's Week 2 matchup against the lowly Miami Dolphins, who they blanked, winning 43-0.

In the lopsided victory, Brown tallied four receptions for 56 yards, including a 20-yard catch and score from the 42-year-old Brady.

Per NFL Research on Twitter, Brown's achievement, vis a vis touchdown receptions from future Hall of Famers Brady and Roethlisberger, was a first.

Meanwhile, the 37-year-old Roethlisberger left the Steelers' Week 2 matchup with the Seattle Seahawks late in the second quarter due to an injury suffered to his throwing arm.

Backup quarterback Mason Rudolph, the team's third-round pick from the 2018 NFL Draft out of Oklahoma State, had to fill in for Brown's former passer.
