Although the New England Patriots managed to be the Cincinnati Bengals handily in Week 15, running back Joe Mixon found a silver lining by getting to meet quarterback Tom Brady in person. The starstruck Mixon was admittedly too afraid to ask Brady for his jersey, however, the future Hall of Fame went ahead and granted his wish.

Brady's actions inspired Mixon to do some gift-giving of his own as he took to Twitter to express his gratitude:

It is undoubtedly encouraging to see that Mixon felt obligated to pay it forward in his own way with some early holiday gifts. This also goes to show the type of influence that Brady still carries in the NFL, even among the younger generations that are hoping to take over.

There has been plenty of speculation regarding Brady's future in New England beyond the 2019 NFL season with all the rumors that have begun to swirl as of late. Regardless, there is no denying the type of lasting impact he has been able to make over the last two decades in New England. Despite being the bane of the league as the face of the Patriots, it is clear that Brady is still well-respected by his peers on other teams.

Given Brady's uncertain future with the team, Mixon may have unknowingly been one of the last to get a signed Patriots jersey from him. Of course, this pales in comparison to the dreams that he will make true during his visit to the boys and girls club.
