The New England Patriots saw their 2019 season come to a heartbreaking end with a 20-13 loss at the hands of the Tennessee Titans. It was a brutal loss for the proud franchise, and one that could signal the end of an era. Bill Belichick and Tom Brady have led the Patriots for years, but things could change this offseason.
Following the game, Belichick was asked about the future of Brady with the franchise. He declined to comment on his star quarterbacks future.
In a quote shared by NFL reporter Melissa Jacobs, Belichick avoided the question about Brady and his future with the Patriots altogether.

Rumors have been circulating all season long that Brady could opt to enter free agency and sign with another team this offseason. There have been reports of unrest between Brady and Belichick. Losing to the Titans in the Wild Card round of the playoffs is a very bad look for the Patriots.
If Brady does choose to leave New England, the Patriots would have a tough time picking up and moving forward. They have Jarrett Stidham on the roster, but he likely isn't the long-term answer.
Needless to say, it will be interesting to see what Brady ends up doing this offseason. A return to the Patriots could still be in the cards, but this will be the most likely opportunity for him to start fresh elsewhere. Only time will tell what Brady's decision will be.
Expect to hear plenty of rumors about the Patriots and Brady this offseason. Winds of change could be blowing in New England very soon.
