Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots will be the next team to get a shot at stopping Patrick Mahomes and Kansas City Chiefs. The first-year starter has been the talk of the league through the first five weeks of the season, leading the Chiefs to an undefeated 5-0 start with his MVP-caliber play.

Much like the rest of the league, Belichick has been impressed with what he’s seen from the young QB thus far. When asked what about Mahomes’ game has stood out to him, Belichick couldn’t narrow it down to just one.

“Pretty much everything. He gets the ball to all of his receivers quick, quick release, sees things quickly, can extend plays, got a great arm, got a fabulous arm, can throw the ball out of the stadium. He makes good decisions, accurate, gets the ball out on time,” Belichick said per CBS Boston.

It’s hard to disagree with anything Belichick listed down. Mahomes has been pretty spectacular over the first five weeks, which is a big reason why the Chiefs still possess a perfect record ahead of their visit to New England.

Although, Mahomes has been far from perfect over the last couple of weeks. He was particularly sloppy against the Jaguars, where he completed under 60 percent of his passes and threw his first two interceptions of the season.

While the Patriots may not be quite up to the Jaguars’ elite level on defense, Mahomes should still be ready for whatever wrinkles Belichick and the New England D will have prepared for his visit to Foxborough.
