New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick is the most decorated coach in NFL history. It seems he will be trying to add Emmy winner to his resume.

Belichick has been named one of the candidates for “Outstanding Sports Personality — Studio Analyst” for his efforts on the NFL 100 All-Time Team series:

Belichick’s nomination comes from his work for the NFL 100 All-Time Team series, where he joined Rich Eisen and Cris Collinsworth for a multi-part effort to unveil the best 100 players in league history.

The other nominees in Belichick’s category are Charles Barkley, Jay Bilas, Al Leiter, Kenny Smith, and Michael Strahan.

Belichick played an integral role in helping to break down some of the greatest players injury in NFL history. Some of the best moments he shared were tidbits about legendary players that he coached such as former Patriots players Randy Moss, Tom Brady, and Rob Gronkowski.

Although he has never been considered to be the most charismatic personality in the league, he certainly had no problem perking up when it came to breaking down the impact that each name on the list had on the game. He will certainly have his work cut out trying to take home the Sports Emmy against such strong company.

Fortunately, it is safe to say that Belichick has enjoyed his fair share of career accomplishments. He may have already had his fun getting to show off how well-versed he truly is with the history of the NFL. His biggest concern at this point is likely showing that he can win one without Brady at the helm.
