Bill Belichick has never been one to say a lot when speaking to the media, but he didn't mince words when speaking about Nick Caserio. In a statement posted on the official Twitter account of the New England Patriots, Belichick had plenty of compliments for Caserio as he leaves for the Houston Texans.

Earlier this week, Caserio was hired to become the next general manager of the Texans. Houston had been trying to lure Caserio away from the Patriots for years now and they handed him a six-year deal to show how committed to him they are.

But before he begins fixing the Texans, Caserio was an executive with the Patriots from 2001-20. Furthermore, from 2008-20, Caserio served as the director of player personnel for New England, helping configure the best roster alongside Belichick.

During his tenure with the Patriots, Caserio was part of all six of the franchise's Super Bowls. Belichick thanked Caserio in his statement for his contributions behind the scenes that helped secure those six Super Bowl wins.

After having success for years in New England, Caserio will now be tasked with getting Houston back on track. Despite a historic season from Deshaun Watson, the Texans finished with a 4-12 record, they don't have a first-round pick and they are limited in cap space.

And speaking of Watson, Caserio will likely have to fix the relationship between the Pro Bowl quarterback and the organization due to the process that led to him being hired. Nevertheless, Belichick believes Caserio is the right man for the job.
