After allowing a 65-yard touchdown in the first quarter of Sunday's game, the New England Patriots and Bill Belichick decided that seven points were enough for the day. The Washington Redskins were stuffed for the rest of the game, scoreless through the next three quarters.

New England didn't take kindly to facing their first deficit of the season as their defense was able to do what they have been doing all season long, shut down the opposing offense. Tom Brady had his biggest day of the year as well, throwing for 348 yards and three scores.

Head coach Bill Belichick still saw some areas where the team could get better. They were facing one of the worst teams in the league with a quarterback that was making his first start of the season.

New England will most likely be able to use the next few games to fix the errors Bill Belichick is talking about as they are set to face the two New York teams in the Giants and Jets.

The only test the Patriots have seen so far has come from their division rival Bills but a matchup with the Cleveland Browns is looming. Running back Sony Michel also had a nice game that could get him going, totaling 91 yards on 16 attempts and a touchdown.

The defending champs will have to continue to roll on until their bye in Week 10 but until then they will try and keep up with the Kansas City Chiefs for the top spot in the AFC.
