The New England Patriots may have just suffered a major blow to their hopes of being back-to-back Super Bowl champions.

During the second quarter of Super Bowl LII, wide receiver Brandin Cooks suffered a crushing hit that he never same coming resulting in a potential concussion that has knocked him out the rest of the game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

At the time of the injury, the Patriots were trailing the Eagles, 9-3. Philadelphia went on to score a touchdown on a run by former New England running back LeGarrette Blount to put the Eagles ahead, 15-3. New England countered with a field goal to cut the lead to nine.

Needless to say, the Patriots may have to mount yet another incredible come-from-behind win on the biggest stage in order to secure a sixth Super Bowl title in the team's history. If any team is capable, it's one with Tom Brady leading the charge under center, but losing one of his best receivers while already being down is not a good sign.

Before suffering the head injury, Cooks caught one pass for 23 yards. No receiver at the time had more than receptions in the game before the injury. Danny Amendola currently leads the way with two catches for 52 receiving yards.
