New England Patriots defensive coordinator Brian Flores has been drawing a lot of interest from teams in need of a head coach. Most notably, the Miami Dolphins have been closely linked to Flores after parting ways with former head coach Adam Gase. Flores' defensive players have spoken highly of their coach.

According to Tyler Sullivan of 24/7 Sports, cornerback Stephon Gilmore praised Flores and knows what a great coach and friend he has been for the Patriots players.

“He’s done a great job. He can be a friend, he can be a coach and get on you so he can do everything for you. He really cares for the players. He pushes everybody every week and gets the best out of his players.”

Safety Patrick Chung spoke in a similar manner to Gilmore, praising Flores' contributions this season.

“Yeah, I mean, obviously he’s done a great job – we’re in the big game. He’s definitely a good coach and he likes to mix things up, so it keeps guys off-balance.”

The Patriots are on the brink of yet another Super Bowl appearance, but Flores and the defense have their work cut out for them in hopes to contain the Kansas City Chiefs number one offense. New England is no stranger to playing in big games, but they are playing on the road in the AFC Championship game which is something New England is not used to.

Flores' days could definitely be numbered in New England, but it's for a great reason, and Flores is likely welcoming any new opportunities awaiting him.
