There has been massive speculation over the last few days over the future of New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick. Rumors have been swirling that the five-time Super Bowl-winning coach could potentially leave the team by the end of the season due to disagreements with star quarterback Tom Brady and owner Robert Kraft.

But as Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio reports, Kraft went on NBC’s Football Night in America and said there is a “zero-point-zero percent” chance Belichick leaves.

According to the explosive report posted by Seth Wickersham of ESPN, there has been a gradual decline of the Brady, Belichick, and Kraft’s relationship this year.

Belichick has reportedly been unhappy with the role Brady’s trainer and business partner Alex Guerrero has taken up with the team. He also believes Brady played a big part in the team’s decision to deal away backup QB Jimmy Garoppolo. Those are just two of the issues allegedly surrounding the team.

However, Belichick, Brady, and Kraft have already gone on to deny the report in a joint statement which they released.

While Pats fans would love to take their owner at his word, his bold proclamation should nevertheless be taken with a grain of salt. Apart from the fact that Kraft is inclined to assure the fanbase that all is well within his franchise, there could also be some extenuating circumstances outside of the rumored issues that may arise and cause Belichick to walk away.

Although Kraft believes there’s absolutely no chance Belichick leaves, it would be unwise to completely rule out that possibility.
