Charles Woodson is a Hall of Fame defensive back and the former NFL standout has since switched to commentary by way of ESPN. Though Woodson typically has some pretty good takes, perhaps the longtime NFL defender got a little carried away with his latest hot take.

On the other hand, maybe Woodson has a point…

In terms of offense and entertainment value, Super Bowl 53 is not turning out to be one that will go down in history for all the right reasons. With the low scoring affair setting record after record in terms of lack of scoring and the overall point total, the New England Patriots are currently beating the Los Angeles Rams 10-3 late in the fourth quarter.

The lone bright spot has been Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman, however, giving some sort of precedence to Woodson's previous point. Edelman had seven receptions for over 90 yards in the first half alone while he has continued to produce into the second half. As it stands at the moment, Edelman has tallied 10 receptions for just over 140 yards against the Rams.

Though Edelman's running mate in Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has underwhelmed for the most part, the heralded signal caller has continued to feed the hot hand — as one would expect him to do. Despite Edelman's production, though, the Rams defense has continued to force punt after punt while keeping the game close.

Nonetheless, Edelman will have to be stopped in order for the Rams to eventually pull off the upset in Atlanta.
