The New England Patriots have a loaded backfield, and it got even more crowded during the NFL draft with the team taking Damien Harris out of Alabama in the third round. Everyone is talking about Sony Michel and James White because of what they did last year, but Kristopher Knox of Bleacher Report thinks that Harris could be the one that everyone ends up talking about.

Thanks to a workmanlike approach to the game and a sound set of football skills, however, rookie third-round pick Damien Harris might just emerge as the secret weapon of the rushing attack.

Even though he rushed for 5.8 yards per carry with nine touchdowns last season, it's going to be easy for opponents and fans to forget about Harris because of the other talent the Patriots have at the position—at least until Harris goes on a tear.

The Crimson Tide have used a running back by committee approach under Nick Saban, so this is a role he should be very used to. Last season with Alabama, Harris rushed 150 times for 878 yards and nine touchdowns. He also was a threat out of the backfield catching 22 passes for 204 yards.

Belichick always uses the hot hand, and there is no doubt that Harris will get a lot of chances to prove his worth, even as a rookie. It seems like the Patriots always get steals later in the draft and this is looking to be the latest of that caliber. The first chance to see Harris on an NFL field will be just a few weeks away when the team takes on the Detriot Lions to start the preseason.
