The New England Patriots will have a fairly new wide receiver corps for 42-year-old Tom Brady this season, but veteran wideout Danny Amendola has plenty of experience and advice to share with his former team's new receivers.

From Karen Guregian in the Boston Herald:

“They’re going to have to learn quickly, you know what I’m saying?” Amendola said. “At this point, I know they’re 100 percent focused in on what (Brady’s) saying, because he is who he is. They’re going to do their best to give themselves the best chance to succeed. But Brady is a huge helper. He’s a coach on the field. He understands how the process works, the operation of an offense. That’s the most important thing.”

Amendola, 33, spent five seasons lining up with Brady and company, including winning two Super Bowls with the franchise. However, the 5-foot-11 wideout signed with the Miami Dolphins in the offseason, leaving Brady and the premier organization in football in 2018.

In five seasons with the Patriots, Amendola caught 230 regular-season receptions for 2,383 yards, 12 touchdowns, and 10.4 yards per reception.

Amendola appeared in 15 of Miami's 16 games last season, making 59 receptions for 575 yards and one touchdown.

New England enters the 2019 season with new wideouts including first-round pick N'Keal Harry, veteran Demaryius Thomas, 26-year-old Maurice Harris, and journeyman vet Dontrelle Inman. Second-year wideout Braxton Berrios will also be fairly new after he missed his rookie year.

There's little wiggle room in practice, though, as the Pats expect the highest degree of professionalism and a winning attitude given Brady and head coach Bill Belichick's achievements.
