The New England Patriots receiving corps is banged up, to say the least.

N'Keal Harry is beginning the season on the injured reserve list due to an ankle injury, Julian Edelman is nursing a thumb injury and now, Demaryius Thomas is dealing with a hamstring issue heading into Week 1, according to Mike Reiss of ESPN.

Reiss notes that Thomas was limited in practice for the second straight day on Friday.

The Patriots signed Thomas earlier this offseason and proceeded to release him before the final round of roster cuts last Saturday before promptly re-signing him.

Thomas split the 2018 campaign between the Denver Broncos and Houston Texans, playing in 15 games and hauling in 59 receptions for 677 yards and five touchdowns before suffering a torn Achilles.

The 31-year-old, who played his collegiate football at Georgia Tech, was originally selected by the Broncos in the first round (22nd pick overall) of the 2010 NFL Draft.

He got off to a slow start in the NFL, logging just 22 catches for 283 yards and a couple of scores during his first season and 32 catches for 551 yards and four touchdowns in Year 2.

However, Thomas broke out in a big way during his third season, catching 94 passes for 1,434 yards and 10 touchdowns, en route to a Pro Bowl appearance.

He then went on a dominant five-year run between 2012 and 2016, with his best season coming in 2014 when he snared 111 balls for 1,1619 yards and 11 scores.

Thomas made four Pro Bowl appearances during that span.

The Patriots will play host to the Pittsburgh Steelers in their season opener on Sunday night.
