While Tom Brady speculates about coaching, and journalists speculate whether Rob Gronkowski will retire, Devin McCourty lives his best life on the field.

According to NBC Sports, on Monday night, McCourty suggested that he may be interested in retiring after the Super Bowl is over, especially if the team takes home another ring.

“I do look at it if we can win this game, win it with my brother, I don’t know what else I could do that would top that. I’m just trying to make sure I enjoy this season and enjoy these last couple of days with these guys.”

The next day, his twin brother Jason replied, and said that his brother was “so dramatic” before pivoting the focus back to the upcoming game.

“I’m just focused on the game Sunday. I haven’t really thought about hanging up cleats and that type of stuff. I’m just right now excited for the opportunity to play in the Super Bowl. When the season ends, that’s when I feel like it’s time to discuss all of that.”

Today, Devin McCourty followed his twin brother's lead and avoided the question about retirement before pivoting the focus back to the game.

“I’ve been focused on this season. It’s been a lot of fun this year. We’ve battled through different things, ups and downs as a team, so being here now in my ninth year and being able to go with these guys every day at work.”

Devin McCourty is signed to the New England Patriots until at least next year, so he'll have to hold off on retirement for now.
