Throughout much of their respective illustrious careers, Tom Brady and Peyton Manning have long been compared to each other that has lifted them to earn the respect as being two of the best quarterbacks to ever play the game.

Following the recent free agent signing of veteran wide receiver Eric Decker on a one-year, $2.1 million deal, he has chimed in on the conversation having previously played with Manning with the Denver Broncos and now Brady with the New England Patriots. According to Mike Reiss of ESPN, Decker has voiced that there is a common link between the two all-time greats.

“These guys have played a lot of football and they understand how to win, what the formula is,” Decker said.

“Peyton is the same way. I took a lot of habits, how he came to work, how he took care of himself physically, the way he watched tape, the way he practiced, the extra work he put in. Those things translate over Sunday [on game day].

“I believe Tom is the same way, just being around the last few days. That’s something, as a receiver, a teammate, you love to see from that position because that’s who is going to carry you. You just kind of follow his lead and do what is best for the team.”

These two have earned much admiration and respect for the dedication and passion for the game. Much of this was with their tireless work ethic in the film room and the practice field to get the most of themselves and teammates around them. It is something that has driven both to a tremendous amount of success through their respective careers.

Although it has been a couple of years since Manning has stepped away from the game, him and Brady are forever intertwined due to their many battles on the field during their time together in the league. The players that have played with both players have noticed the similarities that both have with their approach to the game.

It is something that is going to keep those comparisons with each other going even after Brady eventually steps away from the game.
