Jakobi Meyers of the New England Patriots broke an NFL record that no wide receiver ever wants to break.

Meyers now has the most receiving yards in NFL history without a touchdown. He now has 1517 yards without ever getting into the endzone on a catch.

Meyers is a talented receiver so it makes it even more shocking that he's the one that this happened to. He broke Gerald Riggs record which was at 1516 yards.

This record was broken as the New England Patriots take on the Carolina Panthers.

The Patriots are having an interesting season. There are 4-4 on the year, but they have a 3-0 record away from Gillette Stadium.

This is Meyers third season and in his defense, he didn't get to play with Tom Brady for too many years. If Meyers did get to play with Brady, chances are he would have had a touchdown. The Patriots only have 10 throwing touchdowns on the season so it's not like Meyers has had a bunch of opportunities to get into the end zone.

If the Patriots want to start winning some more games they need to start throwing more touchdown passes. Meyers is going to look to put an end to this unfortunate record that he just set in this game versus the Panthers.
