Throughout the years, New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick has developed a strong reputation for his strict coaching style that has helped him experience much success over the last two decades with the franchise.

During an interview on FS1's ‘The Undisputed,” recently retired linebacker James Harrison voiced that Belichick has some quite noticeable differences in his coaching style from that of Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin that center on his discipline, according to Ricky Doyle of NESN.com.

“Mike Tomlin is good as a head coach. He’s a player’s coach,” Harrison said after acknowledging Belichick is by far the better coach. “I think he needs to be a little bit more disciplined.

“The big thing with Belichick is he’s very regimented, he’s disciplined, everyone is going to be on the same page, there’s not going to be anything as far as someone doing their own thing. I think over there (in New England) their whole coaching staff is like that.

It isn't necessarily a shot at Tomlin, but Belichick has been able to find much success with his coaching style with his strict approach on both sides of the ball with an equal-level treatment of his players. Belichick has garnered much respect from his players while keeping them in order and focused on the bigger task at hand in trying to win a Super Bowl.

Tomlin has been to that mountain peak once in his tenure with the Steelers, but he has struggled in recent years keeping his team in order with notable players speaking out and creating some unnecessary distractions.

That said, this speaks to the impressive longevity that Belichick has been able to have that will one day land him in the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton.
