The world still seems like a blur for New England Patriots running back James White after the incident involving his parents earlier this week. The car accident killed his father Tyrone while his mother Lisa remains in critical condition.

The seven-year veteran penned a message on Instagram celebrating his son Xzavier's first birthday while also paying tribute to his father.

“I hope I can be as good of a father to you as my father was to my brother and I! I still can’t quite process everything that’s going on right now but when I look at you, you give me life! May you Rest in Peace Dad, we miss you much already.”

The entire Patriots organization all stood around James White in the aftermath of the tragic incident. Coaches and players continued to express condolences and support for their beloved offensive captain.

“We’ll be praying for him, and the entire White family, and offer them any and all support that we can as he goes through this situation,” said Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels.

White's long-time teammate in Devin McCourty also spoke in response to the matter and vowed to be by the side of his pal through these difficult times.

“I think for us as teammates, we just have to support him, and be there for him in whatever way possible, making sure he knows each and every one of us is there for him if there’s anything he needs,” he said.

It is not yet determined when White plans to return to the field with the Patriots. At the end of the day, his personal healing from the unthinkable situation will always be bigger than the game of football.
