New England Patriots running back James White was carted off the field with a hip injury and was immediately ruled out of Sunday's game against the New Orleans Saints.

The fact that White was ruled out right away isn't a great sign, so let's hope that this isn't as serious as it seems.

White is the second running back on the depth chart behind Damien Harris. The veteran running back has been with the Patriots since the start of his career back in 2014. While he has never been much of a running threat, he has always been dangerous out of the backfield as a receiver. Heading into Sunday's game, he already had 12 catches for 94 yards on the season.

New England entered Week 3 action with a 1-1 record. The Patriots lost a tough one in Mac Jones' NFL debut against the Miami Dolphins before absolutely obliterating the New York Jets in Week 2. The defense was huge in that Jets game, picking off rookie quarterback Zach Wilson four times.

Unfortunately, it has been a rough start for New England against New Orleans. Jones struggled throughout the first half as the Patriots behind 14-0 early. It's 14-3 at halftime.
