New England Patriots backup quarterback Jarrett Stidham has only been the league for a few months and is trying to learn everything he can from Tom Brady.

On Monday while media was in the locker room Brady and Stidham were deep in conversation with Brady doing most of the talking and Stidham taking everything in. When asked about the conversation, Stidham said he is just trying to pick up as much as he can from the future Hall of Famer.

“Obviously, he’s a great player, but he’s also a great person. I just try to learn as much as I can from him, because he’s obviously been around for along time,” Stidham told Patriots Wire when asked about that conversation. “So anytime I can talk to him about whatever it is, it’s always beneficial.”

Stidham said that Brady is very approachable and has been trying to teach him a lot about adjusting to life in the NFL.

There is some hope that Stidham can replace Brady when he decides to hang up the cleats, but he isn't thinking about that right now, he is just doing everything in his power to learn from people above him.

“Anytime I can sit back and learn — whether it’s from Tom, or (offensive coordinator) Josh (McDaniels), or (quarterbacks coach) Mick (Lombard), or whoever it is — I always trying to soak it in,” Stidham said. “Those guys obviously have a lot of football knowledge and have been around a long time. So it’s really just being attentive and really just engaging in conversations.”

The team released Brian Hoyer and decided to keep just Stidham as the backup quarterback so it's clear that the team has confidence that he has made a good transition to the NFL and he can fill in for Brady if need be.
