The New England Patriots may not have a long-term solution yet to their quarterback situation as a player like Tom Brady is incredibly hard to replace. However, it seems like Jarrett Stidham is already making a name for himself among his New England teammates as he's constantly working on his game amid the coronavirus situation.

Some of the New England players have been allowed to use team facilities and have had the chance to see the sophomore quarterback put some work in. According to ESPN's Mike Reiss, the talk surrounding  Stidham is a positive one, and the team is impressed with the way he's been carrying himself so far:

Ultimately, Stidham's on-field performance will determine if he elevates to the top spot on the depth chart, and no one wants to put more pressure than necessary on the 2019 fourth-round pick; but one thing some teammates have already come to respect from Stidham is his year-round commitment to his craft.

There's definitely pressure surrounding the Auburn alum as he enters his second season in the NFL. The team's long-time talisman is gone after Brady chose to sign with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Stidham hasn't played enough snaps to clearly establish himself as the first-team option in Bill Belichick's offense moving forward.

However, the Patriots have long been known to find talent in the most obscure places, and the fourth-round pick they spent on him may hopefully work out. He definitely put on solid performances in college, finishing his three-year career with 7,217 passing yards and 18 touchdowns.

Of course, it's still possible that the Patriots grab a big-name free agent and place him in front of Stidham, but it may be worthwhile for the team to take a look at the talent they have before making any other moves.
