In his second week with the New England Patriots, star wide receiver Josh Gordon made his debut with the team playing in 15 snaps while hauling a pair of catches on his two targets for 32 receiving yards.

Following the 38-7 win over the Miami Dolphins on Sunday afternoon, Gordon voiced that he feels extremely comfortable in his new environment with the Patriots, according to Nicole Yang of Boston.com.

“I have no doubt I’m going to take advantage of this opportunity,” he said. “I’m more than blessed, I’m extremely grateful to be put in this scenario. I think the only thing right for me to do is to take full advantage of it. I’m loving it, I’m enjoying it. The guys have been great. It’s a real home environment. I feel as comfortable as ever.”

Gordon's comments speak to the how well the organization and his teammates have embraced him in his short time in New England. He has much to offer the franchise with the possibility of him being a major piece to the puzzle if he's able to get a further understanding of the playbook and build his chemistry with quarterback Tom Brady.

It is simply on his shoulders to take advantage of the situation he has been put in after how things finished up with the Cleveland Browns. This is a huge opportunity for him to get his fit on the ground toward establishing his NFL career once again. The chances for him to contribute will be there, it's on him to keep his life off the field in order in the process.

In the meantime, he is off a solid start that should see his role grow with each passing week as he grows more comfortable with the offensive system and his teammates. These next couple of weeks will be telling of how he's progressed in that entire process.
