New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman is a Super Bowl MVP, has a nice new contract and will go down as one of the best wideouts in Patriots history but that hasn't stopped him from playing with a chip on his shoulder.

After organized teams activities, last Thursday Edelman said that even though he has accomplished a lot in his career, he still has a lot more he would like to achieve, and that keeps the chip on his shoulder.

“I’ve accomplished goals in the past,” Edelman said via PatriotsWire. “And when you do that, you set new goals. I’ve been blessed and fortunate to attain and reach a lot of my dreams, but I still have a lot of other things that I want to go for. Got a big chip on my shoulder still, and I look forward to coming out here and contributing to the team and working hard each day, helping younger guys.”

Edelman didn't elaborate on what else he would like to accomplish during his career but with some good years to finish his career could at least get him in the talk of maybe being a Hall of Famer, especially if the Patriots win a few more Super Bowls.

Even though Edelman has had a ton of success many have given credit to Tom Brady and the Patriots system for his success. The former Kent State quarterback doesn't seem to mind though, and he has made it clear Boston is where he wants to be.

“Honestly, I didn’t want to go anywhere, and I’m not going anywhere. So Boston, I’ll be back for a couple more,” Edelman said.
