It's been more than a week since Tom Brady left the New England Patriots, but plenty of fans are still smarting from the unexpected betrayal of their club legend. However, fellow Patriots departee Kyle Van Noy had an inkling about TB12's departure and made the call to leave the team to start a new chapter in his career.

According to Patriots Wire's Danny Jaillet, Van Noy felt like Brady's departure was already written on the wall. While he was still surprised like the rest that Brady did make the move away from the only team he's ever known, the two-time Super Bowl champion and new Miami Dolphin understands Brady's point of view.

“I was just like everybody else: I was shocked a little bit, but I felt like I could see the writing on the wall with just how things went and just how things played out,” the linebacker said. “I wish he was a lifer in New England because I think that would have been a really cool story. But I’m happy for him. He got what he wanted, a $50 million contract guaranteed. That is amazing. It doesn’t matter how much money you’ve earned, that’s still a bunch of money.”

Throughout his stint with the Patriots, Brady always took the road, not a lot of superstars take. He took pay cuts when he could have easily cashed in on his fantastic form. His sacrifice definitely helped him win his six Super Bowl rings, but he felt like it was finally time for him to get what he's owed.

Brady had a sharp decline in his passing game, but his 4,057 passing yards and 24 touchdowns are still very impressive numbers for a quarterback. Hopefully, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers see a glimpse of TB12's Super Bowl-winning self to make the big money they committed to him worthwhile.
