The post-Tom Brady era for the New England Patriots has been rolling along just fine, mainly because of the exploits of rookie quarterback Mac Jones under center. Like Brady, Jones isn't a flashy signal-caller, but he gets the job done. Also, just like Brady, Jones is looking to trademark his initials and jersey number, per Darren Rovell of The Action Network.

It's never too early to invest in one's self, and Jones is clearly abiding by that axiom. He is also striking while the iron is hot, as the Patriots are currently on a lengthy unbeaten streak, having won all of their last six games — enough for them to jump into the top spot of the AFC East. Ah, just like old times.

Brady, of course, has long trademarked TB12, but do we see the day coming that MJ10 will be bigger than the seven-time Super Bowl winner’s brand? Only time will tell. What’s certain is that Jones is off to a great start to his NFL career plus he’s put himself in a good position to win the Rookie of the Year honors.

Jones will enter Week 13 of the NFL season ranked 10th in the NFL with 2,850 passing yards to go with 16 passing touchdowns against eight interceptions.
