Former NFL tight end Martellus Bennett only spent parts of two seasons with the New England Patriots during his playing career, but that doesn't mean he didn't learn a whole lot in the process.

Earlier this week, Bennett took to Twitter to reveal one of his strategies in business, saying that he one of the main questions he asks himself is “What would Bill Belichick do?”

This isn't the first time Bennett has mentioned the impact that playing for the Patriots has had on his life, either.

Back in 2018 during an interview with Yahoo Finance, Bennett said that he knows how to utilize the people who work for him much like New England does.

“Most people that work for me — they’re not one-dimensional,” Bennett told said. “They’re good at a lot of different things. And that’s why I’m able to use them like the Patriots use Julian Edelman or the way that you use a Reggie Bush that you use some football players where you can split them out and do different things.”

Bennett initially joined the Pats in 2016, playing in every game and hauling in 55 receptions for 701 yards and seven touchdowns, helping the Patriots win a Super Bowl title in the process.

After joining the Green Bay Packers that ensuing offseason, Bennett returned to New England in November 2017 after being waived by the Packers, but he appeared in just two games for the Pats that season.

The 32-year-old also played for the Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants, and Chicago Bears throughout his NFL career, making one Pro Bowl with the Bears in 2014.
