New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft will be riding in style after receiving a pricey convertible from rappers Jay-Z and Meek Mill for his 80th birthday.

The music superstars, as well as businessman and Philadelphia 76ers part-owner Michael Rubin chipped in to get Kraft a blue Bentley convertible he had apparently been coveting, per TMZ. Pretty cool accessory in addition to the six Super Bowl rings won with the Patriots:

Kraft seemed elated and mystified, asking, “How the fudge did you get it?” … to which Rubin replied, “We have resources.”

The new ride is cool enough for the Patriots owner, but how is it Kraft came to be so close with Meek Mill and Jay-Z?

Well, the trio–in addition to Rubin–were the instrumental figures in creating a criminal justice organization reform called REFORM Alliance. The roots for organization were first planted when Kraft visited Meek Mill in prison following a suspect probation charge:

“After meeting him in jail, I felt affection for him,” Kraft said, via Lorenzo Reyes of USA TODAY. “We had developed a nice relationship. And I’ve never been to jail before. Going there and seeing him, I didn’t sleep for the rest of the night when I got home. Because here I’m thinking how out of touch something like myself is with what’s really going on.”

Kraft already had the jewelry, and now he can roll up to Patriots training camp, thanks to some of his other famous friends.

Are Jay-Z and Meek Mill supplanting Tom Brady as Kraft's new go-to guys? The stylish whip certainly helps.
