New England Patriots defensive end Michael Bennett has never been afraid to speak his mind, and now he seems to be taking some shots at some of his former coaches. Bennett returned to practice on Sunday after missing a couple of days for a personal reason.

Bennett talked to the media and had praise for Bill Belichick saying it was nice to have a coach that sees him as a human first.

He didn't name any of his previous coaches, but it seems like he had issues with at least some of them to make a comment so pointed about Belichick.

Bennett knows that he has to prove to his teammates that he still has something left in the tank and he is ready to go hard every game.

“You want to prove to your teammates that you love the game,” said Bennett via NFL.com. “I grew up in the game. This game's been part of my life for more than 20 years, so every time I step on the field and I've got teammates that believe in me, I just want to go out and show them that in every single moment, I'm going to go as hard as I can.”

Last season with the Philadelphia Eagles Bennett racked up 34 tackles and nine sacks, and even though he is older, he still is a solid NFL player. The good news for Bennett is that with the Patriots he isn't going to be expected to be a star, rather just a contributing player.
