It's going to be an interesting battle at the Gillette Stadium as the New England Patriots welcome the Dallas Cowboys. However, they may have to do play this game—and a couple of others—without wide receiver Mohamed Sanu.

The wideout injured his ankle during the lead-up to this game, making the Patriots' already-limited offensive power even more constrained. Asked about the specifics of the injury, Tom E. Curran gave a detailed account of what happened via NBC Sports Boston.

“Last week, after he had the punt return where it appeared he might have twisted up his leg, probably led to what I'm hearing might be a high ankle sprain that could keep him on the sidelines for a couple of weeks unless it has drastic improvement,” Curran said.

Depending on the severity of the injury, Sanu will miss several weeks' worth of games in order to fully heal his foot. This is a great loss for the Pats as they traded for him from the Atlanta Falcons to bolster their uncharacteristically terrible offense this season. In his three appearances for New England, the 30-year-old has bagged 108 receiving yards and one touchdown on 14 receptions.

However, hope is not entirely lost for the Patriots as they still have Tom Brady in their fold. The six-time Super Bowl winner is more than aware of the dangers Dallas poses on their team and will be working eagerly to help the team come up with the win.

It may become an ugly game, but that doesn't matter. As long as the Pats keep up their offensive game to the same level the defense sets, there's little to no chance that they will not walk away without the W.
