The New England Patriots have acquired offensive lineman Jermaine Eluemunor in a trade with the Baltimore Ravens, according to Jim McBride of The Boston Globe.

This marks the second trade the Patriots have made to improve their offensive line on Wednesday, as they also acquired Korey Cunningham from the Arizona Cardinals earlier in the day.

Eluemunor is capable of playing both guard and tackle, as he spent time at both positions during his stay with the Ravens.

The 24-year-old, who played his collegiate football at Texas A&M, was originally selected by Baltimore in the fifth round (159th pick overall) of the 2017 NFL Draft.

He played in eight games at right guard during his rookie campaign, making two starts. He then moved over to tackle in 2018, appearing in nine more contests and starting one of them.

The Ravens had Eluemunor listed as their starting left guard entering 2019.

This is nothing more than a depth move for New England, but because injuries tend to happen throughout a 16-game NFL season, it's a shrewd trade for the Pats (as if they make any other kind).
