The New England Patriots have been in the news a lot lately. The storied franchise has been dealing with endless rumors and speculation about the immediate future of the team with talk of Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski potentially being on their way out.

Fortunately for New England, the team's superstars were in attendance for minicamp and seemingly happy about the direction they're heading with the Patriots. Speculation of discord in the front office has subsided, and now they can focus on the 2018 NFL season.

In an interesting move by the team, Bill Belichick and company have decided to end OTAs a little early this year, according to ESPN's Mike Reiss.

Patriots owner Robert Kraft talked about the decision to end OTAs two days early.

With OTAs over, Brady and Gronkowski's next step will be heading to Montana to put in some extra work with the receiving corps. That will be the last of the offseason work for the Patriots stars until training camp in anticipation for the start of the 2018 NFL season in September.

New England is expected to be a legitimate Super Bowl title contender once again in 2018 with the team having Belichick, Brady, and Gronkowski back in the fold. Although the losses of Brandin Cooks, Danny Amendola, Malcolm Butler, and Nate Solder will be felt by the reigning AFC champions, this team has always seemed to find a way to make it work and this year may be no different.

In Week 1, the Patriots will go head-to-head against the Houston Texans in New England on Sept. 9.
