The Tennessee Titans were able to defeat the New England Patriots on Saturday night and left the Patriots in unfamiliar territory. With the Patriots being eliminated, New England will fail to make the divisional round for the first time since the 2009 season.

In 2009, the Patriots lost to the Baltimore Ravens at home in the first round of the playoffs. The Patriots would bounce back the following season with a similar roster by going 14-2 and losing in the divisional round to the New York Jets.

As for this year, there are quite a few question marks surrounding New England's future. Tom Brady is set to become an unrestricted free agent for the first time in his career. In addition, Josh McDaniels could decide to accept one of the head coaching jobs that he'll be interviewing for.

The loss to the Titans has led many to believe that the Patriots' dynasty is coming to an abrupt end. If it is in fact the end, New England's impressive run will never be replicated.

The Patriots have 17 straight seasons with 10 or more wins. Since Brady and Bill Belichick joined forces, New England has won six Super Bowls. There's not another team that will be able to have the same level of success over a 20-year period.

With the Pats losing, fans in New England won't know what to do with themselves. Over the past nine seasons, the Patriots have advanced to the AFC Championship Game or beyond in eight of them. The feeling in New England is a bit different now with uncertainty surrounding the future of the franchise.
