Current Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Nick Foles got paid last offseason after previously leading the Philadelphia Eagles to the franchise's first-ever Super Bowl title. However, it appears as though Foles might not even last more than one season in Jacksonville as the longtime NFL journeyman signal-caller was both injured and underwhelming in 2019-20.

Not only that, but the Jaguars uncovered one of the league's top rookies last season in former Washington State quarterback and late-round NFL Draft pick Gardner Minshew. With Minshew expected to serve as the team's starter under center to begin the 2020-21 campaign, it is more than likely that the Jaguars will begin shopping Foles to other quarterback-needy teams from around the league.

With that in mind, though, it appears as though the heralded New England Patriots could be one of the top potential landing spots for Foles — according to betting experts, that is.

Of course, the Patriots could use a backup quarterback with a veteran skill set like Foles if future Hall of Fame signal-caller Tom Brady does not ultimately elect to take his talents elsewhere during free agency. On the other hand, the Patriots will need a starter at the quarterback position if the aforementioned Brady does manage to land elsewhere ahead of the 2020-21 campaign.

It is also worth noting, though, that the perennial champion Patriots would surely not rely solely on Foles moving forward as a quarterback competition in the absence of Brady could be the most likely outcome in New England.
